Our Team:

Tracy Menasco is the owner & esthetician at Trixie’s Beauty Bar.  She is a local girl, and a proud graduate of Jefferson High School, Reed College, Northwestern University & The International Beauty School.  Tracy spent many years working & learning the art of customer service at Nordstrom, David’s Bridal and several other retail and banking establishments before she decided to start her own business.  A self-proclaimed spa addict, Tracy felt uniquely qualified to pamper people for a living!  Tracy is also the proud mom of a delightful (yes, really!) teenage son.  ”Tracy’s facials are the best I’ve ever had.  I’ve travelled all over the world and I’ve never had a facial like this, ” says one of her faithful clients. In addition to hanging out at Trixie’s, Tracy volunteers at the Children’s Relief Nursery in St Johns, sits on the North Northeast Economic Development Initiative Citizens Advisory Committee and is on the Board of Directors of the North Portland Business Association.

Amber Wier is a master nail tech with 9 years experience working on all kinds of toes and fingers.  She has lived in our neighborhood for many years & knows all the ins & outs of North Portland.  She is licensed in esthetics, nails and is now a licensed hair stylist with an apprenticeship to Tyler — watch out world, here she comes!  Amber specializes in therapeutic pedicures for people with foot challenges such as diabetes and other conditions.  In her life outside the salon, Amber has fun organizing the kids in her neighborhood into evening hide & seek games and attending the occasional rock concert.

Juliana Medina is our shining star of hairstyling — a high energy hair chick who relocated from Berkeley right here to NoPo. Juliana has been doing hair in California for about 5 years (most recently at a cool salon called Blow)  she loves to do funky color, beautiful cuts and has now added full body waxing to her repertoire. When she isn’t cutting &  coiffing away her days at Trixie’s,  out exploring Portland, creating cool art, and designing her own line of funky tops and accessories. We love her (and her work) and we’re sure you will too!

Jodi Durnal, one of our illustrious Nail Techs & Estheticians, is also fondly known as the “Pedicure Princess.”  She is a graduate of Cosmetology Careers Institute, and has taken on Nails and Esthetics as her latest career.  Jodi is a longtime resident of North Portland, a Roosevelt Alumna, and knows everyone and everything anyone should know about the neighborhood. Got a question?  Need anything, just ask Jodi — she has the answer, I bet!  When Jodi isn’t buffing & polishing your nails & skin to their ultimate best, Jodi keeps busy teaching Sunday school, leading a youth group, and working several volunteer jobs –Whew!  I’m exhausted just talking about her.
